Description

If you are not new to Mizzou, you may remember the days when lap lanes in the Natatorium were hard to come by. All that changed with the Mizzou Aquatic Center 50m pool complex. With more lap lanes that are open all day long, avid athletic and recreational swimmers may now swim at their convenience.

In addition to offering lap swim during operating hours, the 50m pool has a moveable floor. This element makes it possible to divide the pool up for even more lap lanes. Additionally, the Complex features a spectacular Mizzou Tiger mosaic in the separate diving well.

The Pool Complex is also an added bonus for Mizzou athletics. For the first time ever the Mizzou divers will be able to practice from a 10-meter platform without having to leave campus.

A couple of added features have made the experience even better for athletes, coaches and spectators. We have added Ultraviolet (UV) disinfection systems to both the 50M Pool and Diving Well. In concert with proper air handling and pool chemistry, the UV systems will provide better air and water quality in the Mizzou Aquatic Center, as well as a reduction in pool chemicals needed for proper maintenance.

The competition area also features a new full-color Colorado Time Systems display board on the East wall to make viewing race times easier for the competitors and spectators.

Also, the competitive pools are surrounded by all-tile decks and seating for over 1000 spectators. Facilities also offer new team locker rooms, aquatic conference rooms and an operations center. With these new amenities, it's no surprise that The Mizzou Aquatic Center has been selected as the site of numerous Big 12 Championships for Men’s Swimming and Diving and the annual Missouri Grand Prix, part of the USA Swimming Grand Prix Series.

Make a point to come out and experience this great facility for yourself!
